Sam Rubin
President & Chief Executive Officer
In Mr. Rubin’s prior senior executive role at Thorlabs, he was responsible for Thorlabs’ Imaging Systems Division, a standalone organization with its own sales and marketing, as well as global responsibility for all of Thorlabs’ Life Science activities. Among the positions he held at Thorlabs, Mr. Rubin founded and grew Thorlabs’s fast-growing operation in China, and spearheaded Thorlabs’ entry and significant growth in the Life Sciences market. As a member of the senior executive team, Mr. Rubin leads new strategic initiatives for Thorlabs, including new product lines, acquisitions, and growth into new markets. Prior to joining Thorlabs, Mr. Rubin co-founded XLight Photonics, an optical communication startup, which was later sold to a telecommunications private equity firm. Mr. Rubin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic Engineering from Ben Gurion University, a Master of Business Administration degree from New York University, Stern School of Business, and is a graduate of the Executive Education, Program for Leadership Development at Harvard Business School.
Albert Miranda
Chief Financial Officer
Albert Miranda is a proven strategic executive leader known for delivering high financial growth across a broad group of products and services in demanding and diverse industries including healthcare, defense & security, consumer electronics, automotive, and semiconductors. Mr. Miranda attained significant professional experience and management expertise through key functional areas encompassing: Finance, Operations, Business Development, Sales, Marketing, Human Resources, and Information Technology. For the past 12 years, he has been with Jenoptik North America and held the positions of President, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer. Earlier, he held senior level management, finance and operational positions with Carl Zeiss Vision and served in the finance department for a division of BASF.
Jason Messerschmidt
VP of Sales
Jason joined LightPath Technologies from FLIR Systems, where he was Senior Director of Sales for US Industrial Solutions, responsible for over $250 million in sales across nine business verticals in North America. Earlier in his career at FLIR, Jason was the national sales manager for their fire products division, responsible for firefighting thermal imaging and related equipment.
Peter Greif
VP of Operations
Peter Greif was named VP of Operations for LightPath Technologies and will lead our effort on aligning operations, sales, manufacturing, and engineering to proactively drive our top line growth and profitability within all global business lines. Prior to joining Lightpath, Mr. Greif served as the Business Director for Jabil Inc. managing operations in Europe, Mexico, and Asia and as the VP of Operations for Steris Healthcare, North American Operations. Mr. Greif holds an MBA in Operations and Finance from Carnegie Mellon University, an MS in Industrial Engineering from Lehigh University, and an undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering from Clemson University.
